Our room was well-appointed and lovely romantic and had an elegant interior. Location: the hotel was near to the local sights and restaurants, easy walking reach of the cathedral, central market, city hall, shops and museums, and the historic center of the city.

The hotel was special and the staff best, amazing location on the river in Basel. The room I stayed in was reasonably large and complete with air conditioning and a patio, for example. I had a REALLY AMAZING time.

Incredibly beautiful hotel, I appreciated its riverside location near the public areas and dining and great walking bridges and great shopping and the Convention Centre. The Michelin-starred restaurant for dinner as well as breakfast and the main bar.

Overall an amazing stay as a special treat at the end of our holiday. Spacious and impeccably clean hotel, location was great and beautiful short walk to the Marktplatz, the tram stop, and the Convention Centre. Stylish and huge room with all amenities. A lot of options for breakfast in the dining room. Private parking nearby provided. Early check-in.

Luxury hotel, the breakfast is sumptuous, amazing location in the city centre of Basel. Very very helpful and caring staff, they smile all the time. It has a cigar bar.

You'll be just a short walk away from all the major attractions, allowing you to make the most of your time in this vibrant city. Secondly, the staff at this hotel are truly exceptional. Their attention to detail and friendly service ensure that you feel well taken care of from the moment you arrive. Lastly, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, with a stunning view on the water. Wake up to the sight of the river and relax on your big balcony. Plus, having a private bathroom and breakfast included is a definite bonus.

No improvements necessary, everything was perfect.

Did not enjoy the experience of a very expensive meal in brasserie restaurant. Food was marvelous but the service wasn't good. Attitude of wait staff very superior - we felt 'looked down on'.

This hotel is a hidden gem in the heart of a charming city. The attention to detail is exceptional, from the beautiful flowers throughout the hotel to the well-equipped rooms with a big balcony and private bathroom. The staff are friendly and helpful, ensuring a wonderful guest experience. The central location makes it perfect for sightseeing in Basel, with stunning views of the water right outside. And to top it off, the breakfast included in the package is superb, a highpoint of the day.

All was absolutely fine during my stay.

Our room had a beautiful view of both the Rhein river and the city center. The location of the hotel couldn't be better, right on the river and within walking distance to everything. The subtle blend of the old decor with all the modern amenities and the attentive service from the staff justified the 5-star rating. It's definitely the only place I will stay when I return to Basel.

Every room should have a shower and a bathtub. It would be nice to end a long day of walking with a relaxing and unhurried bath. Despite our request when we made the reservation, we were given a room with only a shower. I think the hotel should try to accommodate and not charge us extra for something we've requested in the first place.
